How cost rolls up

Every entry lands on the work it paid for

Each entry is booked to a villa or flat, a common area, or a section of one. Project cost is the sum of all of them, and every level adds up to the one above — cost that belongs to no unit or area is shown on its own line, never lost.

Projects, units & sections

Model your sites the way you build them, from the project down to the section a bag of cement went into.

  • Multiple projects

Villa, apartment, school, commercial and other projects, each with its own code, client, location, start date and status. Switch between projects in one click.

  • Villas, flats & units

Every unit with code, block, floor, type, built-up area, status, and whether it is company-owned or sold — with the owner's contact details and handover date.

  • Common areas

Clubhouse, roads, compound wall, sumps and other shared works are costed separately from the units.

  • Sections & sub-sections

Break each unit or common area into sections and sub-sections — foundation, slab, brickwork, finishing — and add sub-sections to many units in bulk.

Masters

Set up once, use everywhere. Every master list can be exported to and imported from CSV.

  • Items, units & categories

Materials with code, category, unit of measure, default GST % and a minimum stock level.

  • Suppliers

Supplier details used on purchase orders and goods received, with purchase reports per supplier.

  • Labour types

Mason, helper, carpenter, bar bender or a contract crew — with a default rate and rate basis.

  • Power meters & support equipment

Meters for power readings and equipment such as mixers, vibrators or hoists for usage entries.

Purchase orders & material inward

Material enters the site only against an order somebody approved.

  1. Purchase order
  2. Approval
  3. Material inward (GRN)
  4. Stock
  • Purchase orders with GST

Line items with quantity, rate and tax %, sub-total, tax and grand total, terms and remarks. Add a new item from inside the PO form.

  • Approval before purchase

Only users with approval permission can approve, cancel or close a PO. Printable purchase orders for the supplier.

  • Material inward (GRN)

Receive goods against an approved PO — in full or in parts — and stock is updated automatically.

  • Attachments

Attach bills, delivery challans and photos to purchase orders, inward entries, expenses and suppliers.

Stock, ledger & material issue

Stock is kept per project and changes only through recorded movements.

  • Per-project stock

Current stock of every item in the active project, with a low-stock alert when an item reaches its minimum level.

  • Stock ledger

Every movement — inward, issue, adjustment and transfer — with the balance after it, the user and the time. Drill into any item's history.

  • Material issue / usage

Issue material to a villa, flat, common area or section, with an issue number and who it was issued to.

  • Adjust & transfer

Record stock corrections after a physical count, and transfer quantity from one item to another, each with a note.

Labour, power & equipment

Everything consumed on site is costed to the unit or section it went into.

  • Labour usage

Daily or hourly labour by workers and hours, or contract work by sq ft, sq m, per section, per month or lump sum — the amount is calculated for you.

  • Power usage

Meter readings with previous and current reading, units consumed and tariff, allocated to a unit or common area.

  • Equipment usage

Support equipment hours with operator and rate, costed to the work it was used for.

  • Replicate

Copy one section's material and labour entries to many similar sections at once, with a check before it runs and an undo afterwards.

Expenses & budgets

Compare what you planned with what you spent while there is still time to act.

  • Expenses

Machinery, fuel, transport, electricity and other expenses with voucher number and payee, allocated to a unit, a common area or the project.

  • Budgets

Budget by project, unit or common area and by cost head — material, labour, power, expense or total.

  • Budget vs actual

A variance view shows budget, actual and the difference for each head, and an alert is raised when a project goes over its total budget.

Daily site diary

A dated record of what happened on site, every day.

  • Daily entries

Work done, weather, labour count, issues, delays and remarks, for the project or a particular unit or section.

  • Materials in the diary

Note the materials used that day alongside the work done.

  • Photos & documents

Attach site photos and documents to each diary entry.

Dashboard & reports

Every report can be filtered, and the detailed reports export to CSV or PDF.

  • Dashboard

Project cost, cost per unit and common area, monthly trend, cost mix, low stock and recent activity for the active project.

  • Notifications

In-app alerts for low stock and budget overruns.

Questions

What builders ask us first

Something else? Ask us — we answer every enquiry.

Is my company's data kept separate?

Yes. Every company has its own database and its own web address (yourcompany.construction.dvsoft.in, or your own domain). Nothing is shared between companies.

Can we start from our Excel sheets?

Every master list — items, categories, units, suppliers, labour types and more — imports from and exports to CSV, which Excel opens and saves.

Does it handle GST?

Purchase orders carry a tax % per line, with sub-total, tax and grand total. Each item can have a default GST %.

Can site staff use it on a phone?

Yes — the application works in any phone browser, and a token-secured REST API (/api/v1) serves the mobile app for site entries, approvals and reports.

How is common-area cost handled?

Clubhouse, roads, compound wall and other shared works are costed separately from the units. Project cost shows units and common areas side by side, plus anything allocated to neither, so it always adds up.

Can we get our data out?

Administrators create and download backups of their company's data, and every detailed report exports to CSV or PDF.
